New Feature: Automations Can Now Wait for a Specific Point in Time

When I designed automations, it was designed for when things happen at different times for different people. Eg. opt in to a list, get an email 30 minutes later, a day later, etc. Or send a text message, or give access to a space. Everything you can do with automations.

But it turned out a lot of people really wanted to use automations for things where a bunch of people go through things at the same time. Eg. week 1 of the course is on a particular date, and this, that and the other thing shoul…

New Feature: Beautiful Email Templates

We've launched a bunch of new beautiful email templates, both for your broadcasts, auto-responses, and automation emails, and for all the emails sent from Simplero, such as invoices or login information.

We hope you like them as much as we do.

They're also much better on mobile devices than the old ones.

It's all part of all the work we're doing to make Simplero amazingly beautiful and incredibly easy to use. Mikkel, Tarmo, Nick, Charles, and myself, are hard at work improving things. Dramati…

New Feature: Warn about Upcoming Renewals for Long Subscription Periods

We've all tried it: You have some sort of annual subscription, and you meant to cancel, but you keep getting forgetting, until one day it renews, and it's too late. You write in, ask if they'll make an exception and do a refund, but it's a hassle for everyone.

Much better if there was a warning a few days before the renewal, so you have time to cancel if that's what you want to do. It sucks to be caught by surprise.

It's also one of our core values here at Simplero to do right by customers. We…

New Feature: Support for Quickpay V10

This is more of an under-the-hood type of thing, but we've just upgraded to the latest version of ActiveMerchant, the underlying payment processor integration software, as well as added support for the latest version (v10) of Quickpay, our primary payment processor in Denmark.

That means that you can now do subscription payments and auto-charge on the Quickpay V10 platform.

Doing the Head Trip Stuff

I remember years ago I was at a Dan Kennedy workshop, where he said that, of all the things you could do to grow your business, the "head trip stuff" was the most impactful.

I tend to agree.

If you don't know Dan Kennedy, he's considered the "grand old man" by a lot of "internet marketing gurus". I followed him closely for a while, went to his seminars and conferences, until I got enough.

He uses the term "head trip stuff" for everything that works with your mindset, psychology, and the like.…

Working All Three Levels

Do you ever feel like you're stuck?

Duh, right? We all do from time to time.

Well, what do you do when your'e stuck?

Here's what I like to do:

First, I start with an understanding that being stuck is something I've actively (though most likely unconsciously) created, and that getting unstuck is about identifying how I have created "stuck" so I can stop doing that.

Then I like to work on all four levels simultaneously: Physical, mental, emotional, spiritual.

  • Physical: What actions can I t…

New Easy Optins for Your Site, Honesty, Fast Cars, Self-Love

Billy Joel wrote a great song called Honesty a while back, and it's still one of my favorites. Unfortunately, he didn't play it when I saw him at the garden last year. In fact, he skipped most of my favorite Billy Joel song. But I digress.

I find that I much prefer that people tell me the truth, no matter how horrible it is. You hate me? Tell me. You're not sure you want to be with me? Bring it on, I can take it. You've kept something from me? Come clean now. You've done something horrible? …

New Feature: Preview Emails as If to a Specific Recipient

Simplero does smart handling of things like prefixes to the subject lines, automatically adding a footer to all emails, or inserting personalized links for each recipient.

The problem, until now, has been that you couldn't preview exactly what people were seeing, because the preview wouldn't include the actual subject prefix, footer, or personalized links, so in the end you had to just have faith in yourself and the software and hit send and trust that it would all do as expected.

Well, no mor…

How to Make Time to Create Content

A question that's come up a lot recently is: How can I make time to create content.

As a Creator myself, I can relate to that question a lot.

I very much live to create. I create code. Words. Music. Food. Drinks. Space.

I know for myself, I need time to create. This week, there are 9 distinct blocks in my calendar. Two of them are gym sessions with my trainer. Two of them are meetings with my team. Two of them are coaching sessions (where I'm the one being coached). One is an interview with …
