Product Updates

New Feature: More Flexible Affiliate Setup

More flexible affilate setup:

  • You can now apply more than one affiliate program to the same product
  • You can now override the default affiliate commission for an affiliate program for a given product (so you can offer a lower commission for products with lower margins)
  • You can even override the commission for a specific affiliate for a specific product if you need that

I've recorded a video that shows how it works:

Auto-Subscribe and Unsubscribe Links

I added one-click automations a while back.

These are special links that you can insert into a broadcast, auto-response, or library email, which, when the recipient clicks it, will start the given automation for that recipient.

That's super useful, and one of the things that it's particularly useful for is a one-click opt-in to a list. You can use this for a quick opt-in to an event, to set up a sublist for people who are interested in a given topic or product, and much more.

Until now, thoug…

You Can Now Use External Sales Pages with Your 1-Click Upsells

I've added the ability to use an external sales page for your 1-click upsells.

Just edit the upsell, and enter the URL of your sales page.

Then you'll get two URLs, one for the YES button, and another for the NO button or link. Add those to your sales page, and you're good to go.

Prevent Download of Individual Content in Space

You can now prevent download of individual videos, audios, or even images, within a space. That way, you can leave downloads on for the majority of content, but turn it off for just one or two pieces that for some reason you need to keep online-streaming-only. To do that, go to a content element in your space, click "Edit" and check the new "Prevent people from downloading" checkbox).

Also, you can now hide the Podcasting section in the sidebar without turning off downloads for the space as a w…

Resend Broadcast to Missing and Unopens

Now you can more easily than ever resend a broadcast to those that didn't open the first time, or to those that have been added to your list (or product or whatever), since the last broadcast.

Go to a broadcast that you've sent, and look in the right sidebar for two new buttons:

  • Resend to missing
  • Resend to unopens

Both will create a duplicate of the broadcast, with the same recipients, but with one additional twist:

"Resend to missing" will exclude anyone who received the first broadcas…

Triggers for Lists and Products Have Moved

Triggers for Lists and Products have been moved from the "Configuration" tab to the "Content" tab.

The reason for this change is that a number of people were using the triggers to give access to a space, and doing it wrong (ie. forgetting to remove access when they deactivate, and granting access to the purchaser rather than the participant).

This way, the triggers come after the spaces, so hopefully that makes it more logical to use the Spaces setting when what you want is to add a space.

Donation Prices

You can now allow your customers to name their own price for your products, or to simply choose to donate extra for your products.

When defining a price, check the box that says "Allow customers to donate more than what's asked on purchase", and your customers will be presented with an input field where they can choose how much to pay.

The minimum amount will be what you say in your price, and then they can add on top of that.

If your price is a subscription, then they can choose to apply tha…

Triggers on Affiliate Programs

I've just added the ability to have triggers on affiliate programs.

What that means specifically is that you can do things when a new affiliate applies, is approved, or rejected. A good example of a use-case for this would be to start an automation, so that you can give them access to a space, start an email auto-responder sequence, or anything else that you can think of.

In other words: Automation for affiliates has landed.

New Action: Suspend Subscription to a List

You can now suspend and resume subscription to a list in your automations.

This is useful if you want people to go through an introductory sequence when they subscribe to your list, and you don't want them to get your normal newsletters until that intro sequence is over.

Here's what to do:

  • Create a trigger on subscribe that starts an automation
  • Create a trigger on unsubscribe that stops the automation (this is important, otherwise they'll keep getting your intro sequence even after they've…
