WHAT'S FRESH?
THESE ARE THE RECENT CHANGES TO SIMPLERO
🎉 New course experience is here!
If you are using the new community experience, all your courses will automatically use this new experience.
You can take a quick look at how it all looks here.
It's already much better than what we had before. And we're not even done yet. We're working hard on improvements + new features for the new experience (Notifications, Better Mobile App, and a lot more).
Demo GIF:
We introduced a change that should improve load speeds in the order form, especially in cases where there are many prices replacing other prices.
Fixed a bug in the order form where adding a name field with 'Separate fields' presentation would cause some participants to have an 'undefined' name.
Fixed an issue with 'Scale rating' fields in Builder 2.0 forms which prevented them from being saved properly.
Fixed a bug where the toggable future installments box in the order form would show squished in some screen sizes
Fixed a bug in the order form that was showing a 'Including' empty message when the account has the 'Show installments total' option enabled, and a 'No tax' Tax strategy
We've made the 'Switch to the new experience' link available to everyone on your membership sites. Your members will be able to try out the new experience we're working on after clicking this link
We removed the punctuation at the end of the terms checkbox label, to make it consistent with the labels of the other checkboxes.
You can force enable the new site experience on a per-site basis. Just go to your site's 'Configure' tab in your admin dashboard, and find the 'Enable new site experience' switch under 'Advanced settings'
In the new order form, we now show an 'always visible' future payments breakdown with the installments info when the account has the 'Show total installments amount' option enabled. When the option is disabled, we continue showing the installments info inside a toggable section.
Fixed a bug in the order form complaining about required fields being empty, preventing the order from being submitted.
We've simplified the setting where you configure how a course is displayed to unauthorized users. Before we had 3 options - 'Full outline', 'Selected lessons', 'Hide completely'. We've removed the 'Full outline' option (because it was misleading and almost similar to 'Selected lessons') and made changes so there are now only 2 options ('Selected lessons' and 'Hide completely'). You don't need to do anything - everything should keep working the way it was.
We fixed a bug in the price selector in the new order form where prices starting with a free trial and then having future installments waiting for a specific date were not displaying the description correctly.
Fix redirect when rescheduling a paid event on a scheduling link to the event page, instead of the order form again.
Fixing chat messages indicator showing unread messages when there aren't any.
We fixed a bug in the order form where auto-filling the billing address with the help of Google maps suggestions would not update the tax region properly, causing some extra transactions in the payment method in order to collect the correct tax amount.
Now if Company Name is enabled in the product order form settings, we will render the Company Name field without needing to manually clickiing on 'Add company name' whenever EU VAT Number field is shown.
Now the company name and VAT number fields are shown stacked in the order form, instead of side by side.
Making pages on the old builder significantly faster when there are many navigation links.
Fixed a bug in the new order form where the freebie link returns a server error if the product has no listed prices.
If you use contact fields in a survey, they will now be correctly saved to the contact when a new response is submitted.
We fixed a bug where the cards in the purchase screen were squished in large screens.
Fixed a bug in the new order form where a replaced price that started with a free trial, did not show up striked out in the price selector
In the new order form we won't repeat the fields for the first participant (name, email, etc) until 'Purchasing for someone else?' is selected
When you include a media file (image, video, audio) in a Builder 2.0 page, it will now properly show up in the 'Usage' section of the media file.
The volume discount box in the new order form is now aware of the coupons. It will only show the discount prices that belong to the same coupon code.
We updated the payment processors settings for the new order form. Payment processor buttons now support additional descriptions and icons that instantly show accepted payment methods.
Editing auto-responses should now be much faster when the backing list has a lot of subscribers.
Now in the Administrators table we do not link to the administratorship configuration pages when the current admin is not able to edit them.
Support ticket threads now display links to the pages the submitter visited before creating the ticket.
We fixed a bug in the new order form where the internal name of the QuickPay payment processor was shown instead of the label.
Viewing a delivered broadcast should be much faster now for broadcasts with lots of recipients.
Fixed an issue in Page Builder 2.0 where SVG images would not show up properly.
Sales Rep Tracking
As mentioned in a previous changelog, we’ve added a new feature for tracking the sales rep responsible for a new purchase.
This is super useful for businesses doing sales calls, with multiple reps, so you can credit the correct rep for the commission on their sales.
It’s super easy to use. Just visit the regular sales form as an admin, and enter the actual customer’s information, and we’ll track it to you as the sales rep.
Today, we added the Sales Rep information to the the Conversion and tracking section on the Purchase page so you can quickly see who’s the rep for any given purchase.
Have a great weekend!
Fixed a bug where in a comment, if a user is @-mentioned, subsequent URLs in the comment are not automatically turned into links. The fix will affect new comments going forward.
We updated the new order form. Previously, when a product had no public prices, the entire order form would render even if the user wasn't eligible for the product. Now, the form sections only appear after the user enters their email and we validate their eligibility. If the user's email isn't eligible, they'll see a friendly message suggesting to try with a different email address.
Preview emails will no longer show a misleading date.
We have updated the order form to prevent two order bumps for the same product being added. You can still set and offer different order bump prices/options for the same product, but only one can be added to the order at a time.
We made it possible to include richer content in survey Intro texts, like videos and other media.
Now in the Volume Discount box in the new order form, you can click the prices and the order will be updated with the selected price.
Fixed a bug where a broadcast would show split test info on preview even when the split test was turned off.
We added the ability to expire all outstanding credits of a Credit Type. You'll find this new action available in the Credit Types table.
Surveys now have a 'File upload' field that allows users to attach files to their submissions
Page Builder 2.0 order forms can now be configured to show a custom 'Decline offer' button.
This makes it super simple to add one time offers (aka upsells and downsells) to your funnels.
If you select 'Purchasing for someone else' in the new order form, your contact information won't be copied into the new participant's form.
Added categories for landing page templates and the ability to search within a list of templates. It will be simpler to find what you need now!
Created separate buttons to create new full page and embedded landing pages.
Custom fields now play nicely with calendar events. No extra new lines/spaces. Question labels will be bolded.
Sorting Broadcasts by 'Last edit by' now sorts Broadcasts correctly every single time.
Admins can now easily try out the new community and site experience!
- Go to any site and make sure you are logged in as an admin
- You'll notice a 'Switch to new experience' button on the user dropdown menu (see screenshot).
- This will ONLY affect what you see (not your customers).
- You can easily switch back to the old experience in a similar way on the new experience.
- Note: This is a work in progress. There are things which may not be fully polished yet.
- We are mostly done with forums, chat, style guide, member directory, new WYSIWYG editor, integration with old builder pages.
- We are currently working on getting courses working on the new experience.
