WHAT'S FRESH?
THESE ARE THE RECENT CHANGES TO SIMPLERO
With the maunal Goto... action for Flows, you can now choose to restart completed flows.
Link directly from a funnel step to the page views for that page
Collapse all Section nodes by default when opening a page in the Page Builder. This makes it much simpler to work with especially big pages
We fixed the border colors on order form fields when focused. Previously, some sides didn't change color on focus.
Searching on the new navigation editor will now auto-expand parent links that were collapsed if they have a match inside them (New navigation editor is accessible from the Layout editor or the new Page Builder).
Fixed a bug where the notification widget on the new site experience would reset to show notifications from All communities if you later filtered by All/Unread.
Fixed a bug where admins couldn't tag @everyone from the Feed page of your site when creating/repying to a post.
Improved how we render a course lesson on in the 'Pick up where you left off' widget.
Improved display of date, author, and updated date for course lesson.
Added links to your calendar feed to the Upcoming events box on the Feed page of your site.
Improved design and consistency of group members page. Still got work to do, but making progress.
You can now search the 'Add link' menu on the navigation editor on Builder 2.0/Layout editor. Makes it much easier to find the type of link you want to add.
We've fixed a bug with Page Builder 2.0 pages where background videos would not autoplay on iOS.
Engagement Points System for Gamification
Give your members points each time their posts or comments get likes by other members, in order to encourage valuable content.
There's a leaderboard of top members, and you can see the current score on a member's page.
Later we'll add levels, and the ability to give access to specific features or purchase products using the points accumulated.
Credits renamed to Points
We’ve renamed the “Credits” system to “Points” because people found the word ‘credits’ to be a bit scary, but points they know from their credit cards and frequent flyer programs, and they like ‘em :)
Points are units of value that your customers can earn by buying your products or engaging with your Community.
You can grant them using automations & triggers
You can create products where people can purchase points
You can give them out manually
You can set up product prices so people can purchase products using their points
Lots you can do with these.
At Simplero, we use them for our white-glove Concierge service. People can purchase hours, and they can see how many hours they have “in the bank”. When we work with a client, we deduct Concierge Hour Points from their account.
If you’re selling coaching sessions in bulk, you can use them the same way. People can buy a package of 10 hours, and they get 10 “coaching session” points. Each time you do a session with them, you “consume” the points from their account.
Both you and your client can at any time see when points were purchased or earned, and when they were consumed.
Powerful stuff.
We've fixed the triggers and click stats for links added through global snippets in the email broadcasts.
Fixed a bug where the side panel on Builder 2.0 would disappear after you inserted a new section.
Fixed a bug that caused the Legacy page builder to constantly reload itself instead of showing the edited page.
We've improved error handling in Page Builder 2.0. Now if your internet is bad, you'll no longer see generic alert messages but a nice indicator message in the top toolbar.
We've fixed an issue with Page Builder 2.0 embedded order forms where the 'Add promotion code' would use the button color and sometimes blend in to the background. Now it always uses the default text color which should have a good contrast to the background.
Exporting custom radio button and select fields with 'Other' option will now include the user-entered 'Other' text.
Fixed an issue where contact custom fields would get their 'Other' options deleted when added to a survey.
We fixed the 'Select state' text on the order form that wasn't being translated correctly to many languages.
Fixed Survey responses table to also include the Email address field when exporting
Fixed the 'Decline offer button link' field in Page Builder 2.0 not working
We've added a new option to Order forms in Page Builder 2.0 pages for hiding the order summary.
A button in Builder 2.0 can now scroll to a specific section on the page.
Show a warning when you have a Button with action Opt-in on a Builder 2.0 page, but there are no inputs on the page.
Bring the product start date more front & center. We have plans for this ...
When you close out of searching the transcript, and you then reopen the transcript search, we'll not just remember the last term you searched for, but also which instance of the term was last highlighted. Previously it would start all over with the first one. This makes it simpler to use the search.
Fixed an issue where searching the transcript would find matches in the bookmarks and it would mess up the transcript.
Fixed an issue with surveys where a response would always be attributed to the currently logged user (if any) instead of creating a new contact when the email is different.
Sites on the new experience using the 'Top' navigation style will now have the links left aligned in the top bar.
Sites on the new experience can now toggle the site switcher on/off their header using the layout editor. Site switcher is the chevron button we display next to your site logo that allows your customers to switch to different sites they have access to.
Splash screen on Main Site
We fixed a bug that prevented the Splash Screen from showing when the Main Site is not launched.
Fixed issue preventing users from entering the 2 Factor Authentication code when logging in.
Fixed that the Dropzone for the Course Modules didn't get re-initialized after changes the the course module so dragging a file onto the module would stop working.
When working on the new Builder 2.0 on your site, if you're on a smaller device, we will now make the left sidebar (the navigation editor) not take up any space. Instead, it will be overlaid on top of your site preview.
We now hide the 'Transcribe' button when adding an audio or video as content (e.g. in a course lesson) if the account is configured to automatically transcribe all new uploaded videos and audios.
Making landing page template selection popup faster to load the preview images.
Fixed a bug where coures lessons that used iframes from 3rd-party providers in their lesson's body would not show up on the new experience.
Fixed some recent issues in the video player, such as the transcription box not working as expected and keyboard functions not responding
We've made Price set up simpler
Triggers can be added directly on the Prices on the Product > Prices tab. See the active triggers for each price there, without needing to click into the price configuration.
Live prices will always show above not-live ones.
New prices will be added to the “Recently used objects” dashboard icon so you can find them again fast
We reordered and improved the labels and descriptions - such as “Internal name”, “Name” and “Live” (previously “Enabled”) - so it is easier to understand what they are for.
The “Availability periods” configuration is now a switch inside the “Advanced Settings” section.
Make the Card view on our display tables be flexible in width, so the cards can expand to fill the available space.
We've implemented a workaround for a weird Safari on iOS bug that that prevented the play/pause/back/forward buttons from showing up on our video player on the web on Safari on iOS. Sometimes it’s fascinating how these basic bugs can make their way out onto such a widely used product. But hey, we make booboos too. Guess we’re all doing our best here.
When exporting coupons, the discount field and purchases count will be included in the export.
You can now set a background overlay color on sections, rows, columns & elements using the new Builder 2.0.
Super useful when you want to add a tint to a background image/video.
In object picker, order by most recently used objects first.
Your dashboard now gives you quick access to key info and frequently used features.
Links to recent broadcasts, unpaid charges, purchases awaiting manual payment and bounced emails are still there. They are now links instead of boxes.
Tightened up footer layout.
