WHAT'S FRESH?
THESE ARE THE RECENT CHANGES TO SIMPLERO
Made a few small adjustments on the List Content tab: Moved Automations up top, so it's easier to find when you need to add follow-ups, and renamed Freebie content to Lead magnet content to match the terminology generally used in the business.
Video Loudness Filter
Added new Media file setting to automatically apply a professional broadcast loudness filter to all newly uploaded videos and audios to dramatically improve the audio quality and make it easier to hear what's being said.
Video Loudness Filter
Added the abilty to add a professional broadcast quality loudness filter to video and audio files to dramatically improve the audio quality and make it easier to hear what's being said.
Added a separate Media file settings page with everything related to Media files.
Reorganized the settings menu to follow the main menu, to make it a bit simpler and more logical.
Added support for UTM parameters when using the API to subscribe people to a list.
Added new Media file setting to automatically transcribe all newly uploaded videos and audios.
When a price's available quantity becomes zero, now we show a message on the order form and allow the customer to choose another price point.
Added a button to 'Enhance audio' on audio/video players on the new commuinty experience.
Your members will be able to click a button on the player to toggle audio enhancement which aims to reduce noise, improve clarity, among other things.
We changed the recently added error message when the user tries to submit an order form without entering the complete card information (when using Stripe payment processor), from 'Please complete all the fields' to 'Please enter your payment info. If using Link, make sure to select the card you'd like to use.' to avoid confusion in those cases where Stripe offers to select a card saved on Link.
Surface the raw phone number field value to use in zapier. This makes it much easier to use zaps that set the phone number when your source data doesn't have it divided by country code and number.
You can now edit the name of a landing page, or in the case of a page for a funnel step, the name of the funnel step, directly from the landing pages table.
We renamed the Facebook integration to Meta to stay with the times :)
Filter out likely bot clicks
Some email clients, notably Outlook, will click all the links in all the emails, right after receiving them, causing somany problems.
Try as we might, we’ve never been able to identify these clicks reliably … not by IP, not by referer, not by user agent, not by anything we could determine.
The only thing we’ve come up with is that if the click happens within a few minutes of the email being sent, it’s most likely a bot click and not a human click.
We’ve now added a “Likely bot click” filter to the table of all the emails sent (the Recipients tab on a Broadcast), where you can filter in or out all the clicks that are likely to be bot clicks, defined as within 3 minutes of the email being sent.
That will give you a more accurate measure of the actual clicks.
It’s not perfect. But when it comes to email, nothing’s perfect.
We've improved the parsing logic for phone numbers (mostly going to be useful when doing contact imports).
If the provided phone number does not have a country code, we will now check to see if the phone number would be valid if it was prefixed by your account's country code. If it is, we will assume that's what it is.
When doing a contact import, you can now import phone numbers even if they are all in a single column. Previously, it was only possible to import phone numbers if they were split up into 2 columns (one for country code and the other for the number).
Make it easier to duplicate steps to the 'Otherwise' branch, as well as to a new branch.
Fixed a bug where color picker on Style guide editor would show cut-off and clipped and so you weren't able to click certain colors (a regression that started yesterday).
We have fixed the issue with replying to a comment on the new site experience when the member directory is turned off.
The close button on the Style Guide (as well as the upcoming Layout editor) is now just a simple x, like in most other places.
We fixed a bug that prevented some customers in certain mobile devices from being able to notice that a required checkbox was not checked in the new order form. Now, we ensure the screen scrolls to the first missing required field when the user tries to submit the form.
Don't auto-hide error notices (the red ones across the top of your screen). We want to make sure you have time to read them before they disappear.
Show the error message when you try to upload an invalid CSV file to import your list
Don't have a tabstop on the Capitalize button above certain text fields
Always show the Add field' button when editing a survey
Autosave radio/checkboxes/dropdown field options when you leave the field, instead of having to hit enter or the checkmark button
When editing a survey, any click inside a survey field will open the panel to edit that field, instead of trying to interact with the field.
When adding a new field to a survey, you can now hit enter after you search to select the first field type that matches your search.
Fixed that inline editors in a table view would collapse completely if there were no other content in that column.
Fixed a bug where 'Forum not enabled' message would show even if the forum was enabled on the classic page builder when editing the forum link in your main navigation.
Fixed a bug where if you were filtering the courses table in admin and it returned no results and you reloaded the page, you would no longer see the table, with no way to change your filters/search term. And instead you'd see an empty state as if you had no courses.
Make it possible to add intro text to a survey without having to go to the Settings screen
Support placeholders and help texts on custom fields
Whenever you edit a field that auto-saves or auto-updates, such as editing the label on a field in a survey, we'll now save or udate it regularly while typing, instead of waiting for you to leave the input field. So much nicer.
When entering margin and padding around an element in the new page builder, you can now Shift+Tab to move counter-clockwise, in addition to Tab which always moved clockwise. Makes it easier to go back & forth.
The Stripe element in the order form has been updated to prevent submission when required payment information is missing. This reduces abandoned purchases when the Stripe payment processor is used.
Fixed a bug where if your site had a course as the home page and you visited the home page, the course link would not be displayed as active in your main navigation.
Show tooltip title on all icon columns in all tables.
Fixed a bug that was causing the Activated: First time only trigger to fire on re-activating an entrant.
Improved the look of the back button on the course lesson page (made chevron icon spacing consistent + made it truncate instead of wrapping when the text is too long).
Transcript toggle on the course lesson page was looking a bit off when active. It's now fixed.
We have added a new setting for Worksheets: "Don't allow people to edit their responses."
This will force people to fill out a new Worksheet each time, rather than keep updating the same one.
They’ll still be able to edit their response for 12 hours, in case they find a typo or need to add more context. Then it’s locked.
Move the Launch Editor icon/link on the Landing pages table to the left, so it doesn't disappear all the way on the right. After all, most of the time, this is what you want to do.
Distinguish between Funnel pages using the Classic page builder and the 2.0 page builder in the landing pages table
We have introduced a new setting for Site groups that allows mentioning other group members. Previously, this feature was controlled by the member directory setting. Now, these two settings are separate, providing more flexibility and control.
Fixed a bug with Yes/no fields in Surveys that prevented them from being submitted when the field is 'required' and 'No' is given as an answer.
We've added an indicator in the Page Builder 2.0 element tree for elements that use non-default colors. This will make it easier to figure out where colors are inherited from.
Use colon instead of 'posted' in subject line of forum post notification emails
Reordered Course Lesson page in new Community experience
Reordered some of the blocks on the Course Lesson page in the new experience to make it simpler. Now Resources/downloads is at the top of the right sidebar, followed by private notes, then other lessons. On mobile, you have video/audio, then lesson content & bookmarks, then resources, then private note, then comments, then other lessons. That way smaller items like private notes are further up, and lessons navigation is always at the bottom. We're still tweaking, and we have other updates in store, specifically aronud the course/lesson navigation. This is a simple step forward for now.
