Sherrie's got a superpower

Sherrie will surprise you.  She sits there, steadily observing and thinking and not saying much.  But when you give her a chance, a treasure trove of smart, inspired and caring thoughts will spill forth.

Like Deanna, Sherrie worked as a VA until she joined Simplero's Support Team. Her gift is in interaction with people and she now works 'live' with account holders, either in a group setting (our weekly Empower Hour Q&A calls) or one-on-one in Concierge.

We joked on our retreat in Denmark that Sherrie has a superpower and it's the ability to make any two people become best friends.  She is a connector - a relater - a 2 on the Enneagram who will bring out the best in you.  She can show you parts of yourself that you didn't see all that clearly before.

Read on to learn a little bit more about Sherrie...

What is your role in Simplero, and what do you do?

I mainly work in our concierge department and run Empower Hour working with all our fantastic customers in their accounts and teaching new users about the platform. I can also be a little Type-A and have a deep love for rhythms and so I am our designated procedure girl making sure we all know how, what, and when to do the things we do.

What brings you joy in your job?

I love helping our customers take what they are envisioning and making it happen. I love the fun of a new challenge of "how could we make this work in Simplero" .  I love the joy you all get when you see your ideas up and running.

What's on your desk?

An Echo Dot so I don't have to shout to the other room or stop working just to answer a question. Plus it has the added bonus of audio books or music while I work. A crochet runner from my great grandma as a desk pad, At least 5 books I'm currently reading, my Bullet Journal, a vase of fresh flowers and my favorite candle, Some beautiful graphics of quotes I love, and an alter of pretty little things that make me happy, like pictures, nature finds, or love notes from my kids. Basically all my favorite and inspirational things.

What does leadership mean to you?

For me a leader is someone who is always ready to give space for you to be fully seen. They possess the traits of compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, and discipline. They are even-tempered, content with second place and quick to forgive mistakes. And above all they exemplify love.

Exercise or Meditation?

Meditation. I love the quiet of the morning as the sun is breaking and before my family is awake. And I can just sit and meditate, journal, or pray.

Coffee or Tea?

Neither!!!!! Both taste like stale water if you ask me ;) I only drink water, preferably bottled and only with ice, or Coke.

Anything else you want to share?

In the first 5 minutes of meeting me you'd probably learn my calendar is always full... I work late into the night, and I spend my days homeschooling my 4 kids. Both things fill me to my core. Acts of service are my love language.

But if you got know me a little longer you'd probably learn I'm big on intention and purpose. When you bring intention into the things you do, you find yourself suddenly caring about the hearts of others and I think that little bit of extra thought makes all the difference in the world.
