Beth, the powerhouse social worker turned Head of Concierge Services

Beth - Employee Spotlight

To describe our colleague Beth, I asked our leadership team for some help.

Who is Beth to them? What is she like?

Here are some of the words they used:

Amidst words like blazing, funny, caring, and pajamas, a common theme arose – "Beth can."

"Beth is always there to help," Deanna told me. "She has a special ability to make you feel like you've been friends forever. And if you end up in a new country with no luggage, she is kind enough share pajamas and socks."

Our CEO Calvin added, "We can always rely on her like nobody's business. She also happens to be a lot of fun to be around, although she does have a tendency to break rule #1."
(Rule #1 is "don't laugh during work hours" which we all take very, very, seriously.)

And finally, Kasim said, "I love Beth's sense of humor. She's creative when problem solving and a joy to work with."

Can you tell that we love her? She's a force to be reckoned with that cares deeply for the people in her life, including our Simplero customers. We're incredibly lucky and grateful to have her.

But enough with negative comments, let's hear from her!

What is your role in Simplero, and what do you do?

I am the head of our Concierge Services and I love it!

I get to talk with people who are interested in having us train them in how to use Simplero or set up Courses or Pages (or whatever!) for them.

This may sound strange, but I love managing people and projects so the job is perfect for me.

What brings you joy in your job?

Besides what I just said? When people have those ‘aha’ moments and suddenly they really get how to use Simplero to grow their businesses.

When a client sees their Membership Site or their landing page / product / content delivery flow come together for the first time and it inspires them. When people feel supported and understood by me or my team.

What's on your desk?

As little as possible. Computer, mouse/mousepad, pen/phone holder, notepad and a glass of water or a snack. Sometimes my cat. Woe betide anyone who leaves clutter on my desk.

What does leadership mean to you?

Knowing who you are and where you are going. Knowing what you are inviting people to join you in co-creating and the core principles that will guide you. Caring for the people who join you on the journey. Being deeply inspired by your purpose.

Exercise or Meditation?

YOGA! So, both I guess...

Coffee or Tea?

Coffee in the morning, peppermint tea in the evening.

Anything else you want to share?

This is at least my fourth ‘lifetime’ in this lifetime. I’ve been a social worker (specializing in crisis services for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault), a non-profit organization director, a stay-at-home mom to a son with intense special needs and now this. It is a glorious thing to be able to take all those parts of myself and be of use to our Simplero family.
