Step back to move forwards
"It sounds like you're in a really great place, but you're maybe trying just a little too hard."
That's what a mentor told me.
It rang true.
Does that ever happen for you?
It's an old habit of mine. And I guess old habits die hard.
So I decided to go on a little "spiritual retreat" this weekend.
All at home.
Didn't actually go anywhere ... physically.
But mentally, I went to a much deeper place.
Started asking myself some big questions.
Questions like ...
→ What am I here to do?
→ What is my deepest fear that I have to face right now?
→ What identity do I need to let go of?
→ What identity do I need to step into?
What came out of it was amazing.
It wasn't super easy.
Lots of winding roads, and feeling into stuff, and some definite detours.
But it was totally worth it.
It's made all the difference.
Before, there were just too many voices, too many opinions, too much noise.
Now I was able to hear my own voice, and get clear on what I wanted to do.
When was the last time you went on a "spiritual retreat"?
Are you trying just a little too hard?
Maybe it's time to take a step back so you can move forward with more power.
It's the good old Power vs. Force.
Force can only take you so far. You have to operate on Power.
And if you've gotten ahead of yourself, you've lost touch with your Power.
Then you have to take a step back and pick it back up where you left it, somewhere behind you.
