Why you haven't found your purpose yet

Do you know your purpose in life?

If not, why haven't you found it yet?

I'll tell you why.

Because you haven't looked.

I'm serious.

The truth is, it's not that hard.

But you have to want to know.

I told you about how after I found my purpose, I realized there were three very specific (and strange) fears that had held me back from finding my purpose.

I asked you to guess at what they were.

No-one got them right.

But fear not. I'll tell you now.

Irrational unconscious fear #1:

There was no purpose for me. God had made a lemon. There was nothing for me. Sorry. Better luck next time.

Irrational unconscious fear #2:

Okay, there was a purpose, but it would take me FOREVER to find it. Might as well bother trying.

Irrational unconscious fear #3:

Okay, there was a purpose, and I'd find it quickly enough ... but I wouldn't like it.

That last one wasn't so crazy after all.

You see, I wanted to be one of those tough macho guys that were just all mental sharpness and stone-cold emotionally.

I was afraid I was going to be "soft". That I was going to be emotional. That I was going to be—god forbid—a "healer".

Haha.

The Universe does have a sense of irony.

Because that is, of course, exactly what I am.
