A Huge Milestone, New Site Features and WordPress Blog Import

Today (yes, today exactly!) marks a pretty exciting milestone for Simplero: you have all collectively now made more than $60,000,000 on Simplero. Wow. Crazier still? This is $10,000,000 more than just three months ago! We're absolutely stunned by the pace at which we see businesses grow.

So, here's to all of you: fantastic work! We here at Simplero feel very privileged to get to work with and serve as successful and impressive a group as you all. We absolutely can't wait to see what you do next!

Join us for Office Hours!

We are excited that so many of you have been joining us for Office Hours! If you are a new Simplero customers, Office Hours is face to face time with us, answering questions about your account, using Simplero in general or specifics. These office hours are free and they're designed to be heavy on the Q&A - we want to get you the answers you need to get into action with your Simplero account. We had another awesome Office Hours call yesterday and hope you'll join us for our future Office Hours with your great questions!

Did you know you could do this?

Many of you are getting started creating your new Space and Products to sell.  Did you know that you can house multiple products within the same space? We do not limit you to the use of one space per one product. This is especially helpful if you have multiple products sold individually as well as sold in a bundle. Check out this guide! Or many you have multiple course that are un-related course that may not all need their own spaces.  Consider putting those courses in one space together as well. Here is a great guide to help you accomplish that as well!  I know, I know... your next question is: How do I make sure a single product doesn't give access to the rest of the courses in the same space? We've got you covered with a new guide on how to restricted access within a shared space for only the product purchased.

Are you a Simplero VA helping others?

We would love to know who's out there helping our customers with Simplero, we often get requests for help from our customers and we're planning a certification program for specialist, so in order for us to know who to reach out to, we have made a list for Simplero VA's and others helping our customers setting up. You can use the one click sign up here or you can go to the sign up form here you are also very welcome to share that link with the one doing setup for you if you're not a VA yourself. You don't need to do this as a full time job to register we want to know you anyway. We will soon send out a few questions to those registered so we can get to know you even better.

New Features in Simplero

Been procrastinating on getting rid of WordPress and moving everything over to your Simplero site? Well, now there's no longer any excuses. This week sees a much requested addition to Simplero: the ability to import your WordPress blog to Simplero. Simply go to the Blog section in your administrative interface for your site and hit the "Import from a Wordpress blog" button, upload an exported dump of your Wordpress blog and we take care of the rest, including importing your categories, comments, images etc.

In addition to this, we've added a few new features to the site itself. First off, you can now allow people to comment on blog posts without logging in, which is great for creating engagement with a less committed lead base by reducing the friction in interacting with your business. Simply check the "Allow comments without being logged in" checkbox in the settings for your site, and you're all set. To combat spam, people will receive an email to verify their comment before it actually gets posted.

Secondly, you can now add shortcuts to your sites. Shortcuts are a way to make and URL on your Simplero site a redirect to some other location. This is great both if you want to give people a shorter URL, or if you're transitioning from another platform (such as WordPress) and want to make sure your old links still work:

You'll find the shortcuts under the administrative section for your site.

Thirdly, we've added two new choices for sections to your site: a Recent blog posts and a Buttons section. The Recent blog posts section allows you to list a number of the most recent blog posts, for example on the front page of your site, while the Buttons section allows you to easily add stand-alone call to action sections on your pages.

The last addition is the ability to hide the header, footer and sidebar on any given page on your site. We know that a lot of you have been wanting to use pages for other purposes than just pure content pages on the site, so with this addition, you now have a lot more freedom. Simply go to the "Settings" tab for a page in the administrative interface for the site, and you can choose which parts of the page you want to hide.
